The brother of a man accused of stabbing his neighbour to death told the court yesterday that his sibling had refused psychiatric treatment for over two decades and was so unstable the family avoided him.
The statement came during the fourth hearing before the High Criminal Court.
The witness said the defendant, who is both neighbour and relative of the victim, had once been admitted to a psychiatric facility but refused to stay the course.
The family, he added, tried again and again to get him help but it never worked. He described a man who kept to himself, rarely spoke, and would not show his face at weddings, funerals or Friday prayers.
Obesssion
His suspicion of cameras bordered on obsession.
