In a concerted effort to strengthen community partnership and promote sustainable security, the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Gulf University organised a security and safety awareness exhibition under the theme “Together Towards Comprehensive Awareness and Sustainable Security.”

The event, held in collaboration with various departments of the Ministry of Interior, aimed to enhance public awareness of safety issues in alignment with Bahrain Vision 2030, which prioritises sustainable development and community security.

The exhibition featured participation from security specialists who conducted interactive workshops and awareness sessions on crime prevention, traffic safety, maritime security, and emergency response.

Experts from the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Evidence delivered lectures on crime scene investigations, drug prevention strategies, and human trafficking countermeasures.

Road safety

The General Department of Traffic provided insights into road safety and showcased advanced traffic monitoring systems used to detect violations.

The Coast Guard Command highlighted its efforts in securing Bahrain’s maritime borders, while the General Directorate of Civil Defense conducted a session on firefighting techniques and emergency response protocols.

Additionally, a specialised lecture on financial investigations and anti-money laundering measures addressed the risks associated with financial crimes and the mechanisms for combating them.

Commitment This initiative underscores the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of security awareness and social responsibility in partnership with key governmental bodies.
