Bahrain Joins Kuwait in Celebrating National and Liberation Days

Deputised by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in the Kingdom of Bahrain to celebrate Kuwait’s 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day.

Accompanied by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, the Deputy Prime Minister was received by Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Ambassador of Kuwait to Bahrain. He conveyed the congratulations of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait; and to the Kuwaiti people.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla praised the historic and deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, underscoring their strong cooperation and shared aspirations. He highlighted the unwavering commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HH the Amir of Kuwait to advancing bilateral ties across various sectors, ensuring continued growth and prosperity for both nations.

Reaffirming Bahrain’s solidarity with Kuwait, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the significance of Bahrain’s participation in Kuwait’s national celebrations, reflecting the enduring bonds and mutual appreciation between the two countries. He acknowledged Kuwait’s pivotal contributions to regional stability, Gulf cooperation, and development efforts, lauding its leadership in diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla also commended Kuwait’s achievements on the international stage, recognising its role as a beacon of peace and its steadfast humanitarian efforts under the leadership of HH the Amir of Kuwait.

On his part, Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s participation, underscoring the strong historical ties between the two nations. He extended gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for his presence at the event.

The celebration featured a special ceremony honouring Bahrain’s former ambassadors to Kuwait for their contributions in fostering strong diplomatic relations. Additionally, long-serving Bahraini employees at the Kuwaiti Embassy, who have dedicated over 28 years to strengthening bilateral cooperation, were recognised for their commitment and service.
