‘World following King’s steps’
The world is waking up to what has been the cornerstone of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s unshakeable visionary leadership and are actively implementing the same goals and objectives in their countries, said Secretary-General of the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations, Betsy Mathieson.
This came as HM the King received “This is Bahrain” delegates and sponsors yesterday.
“From British Prime Minister David Cameron, to President Barack Obama to President Francoise Holland of France, they are all now focusing on the vital importance of interfaith dialogue, religious freedom, and eradicating the ignorance that breeds fear,” she said.
She flayed the various Human Rights organisations for continuously targeting Bahrain with false criticisms, while ignoring at the same time, blatant human rights violations in a number of other countries.
She stated she makes it a point to clarify these misconceptions with irrefutable facts and figures when “This is Bahrain” travels.
“Despite the fact that Bahrain continues to rank higher than some so called highly-developed first-world countries in the World Ranking Tables in areas such as Women’s Equality, Religious Freedom, Quality of Lifestyle, Safety & Security, Economic Stability, Healthcare, Education, Labour Rights, Maternity Leave and Rights of the Child, there are those who continue to lie and refuse to acknowledge the truth,” she said.
“That is why ‘This is Bahrain’ events are so very successful as all we do is simply ‘tell the truth’ and back it up with verifiable facts and figures,” she added.
She added that the people of the Kingdom have no fear about their future “as Bahrain is in good hands.”
She concluded by saying that several countries have expressed their desire to host “This is Bahrain,” Rome being the next.
