Bahrain to host “ALWANE Third Regional Summit”
Bahrain will host “ALWANE Third Regional Summit” on Tuesday under the patronage of Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The event will be organised by Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society in collaboration with Events Starts at Gulf Hotel, Awal ballroom from 5-10 pm.
The summit aims to create a unique platform for women entrepreneurs to explore and exchange business ideas and experiences to support women.
It creates an ideal opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of women entrepreneurship in Bahrain and women’s role in the economy.
Around 200 businesswomen and participants from Bahrain, Tunisia, Jordan, Oman and Qatar are expected to attend the event. The first two summits were held in Dubai and Jordan respectively.
Society Chairman Ahmad Al Saloom commented, “I would like to thank ALWANE and Events Starts for their efforts in organising the summit. Our strategic partner Tamkeen has played a great role in supporting the event. “
“The summit serves all women societies, businesswomen, NGOs and SMEs. It offers a great opportunity for networking,” he added. He noted that the summit will come up with several recommendations and the society will follow them up with the concerned authorities to help women overcome their difficulties.
The summit will witness the signing of two agreements between Bahrain SMEs Development Society and Aafaq Society and Bahrain contractors Society.
Society’s secretary and officer of ALWANE Bahrain, Ammar Awachi, said, “ALWANE summit will invite participants from 17 different countries in MENA to contribute positively to Bahrain economy by spreading awareness among participants and demonstrating business facilities in the
Kingdom.”
Manager of Events Starts, Yasmeen Jamal, said “It is my pleasure to be a part of the organising team for the summit, which plays an important role in empowering women economically. I appreciate the efforts made by the Society which aim to encourage women and urge them to take the lead and start their own
businesses.”

added.
ALWANE Third Regional Summit will discuss various topics related to women such as: success stories of women in the region, highlight business challenges and stimulus factors that can help Arab women succeed at their work.
