FCCIB launch soon

FCCIB (French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Bahrain) announced at a press conference yesterday that it will be part of the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad Network (CCI France International) in the near future.

The CCI France International is one of the largest business networks in the world, with a combined membership base of more than 30,000 companies.

It also announced that the official launch of FCCIB will take place during a ceremony on December 9 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Bahrain’s FCCIB was officially registered in January 2015. It’s the 4th French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the GCC, after Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.

FCCIB policies are guided by a board of 10 directors responsible for all major decisions concerning the Chamber’s strategy. It has a dedicated permanent office, now operational. The offices of FCCIB are located in YBA Kanoo Tower, in the Diplomatic Area. FCCIB’s mission is to enhance the business and economic ties between France and Bahrain. The role of this Chamber will be to support and complement the current efforts made by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the French Embassy in Bahrain and the Economic Development Board, in order to promote the business relations between France and Bahrain.

“Today, France is present in different sectors of Bahraini economic activity such as: industry, banking, transportation, retail and insurance. FCCIB will facilitate and support the development of this presence and the level of bilateral trade,” an FCCIB representative stated. Jean- Christophe Durand who was elected as its chairman, will serve a two-year term for the organisation. FCCIB Members will be essentially for French companies established in Bahrain and Bahraini companies willing to do or to develop their business with France. FCCIB will give all its members the possibility of growing their businesses through a number of events, forums and networking opportunities that the Chamber will organise. It will also offer a range of services to French and Bahraini companies encouraging them to prospect and to set up businesses in Bahrain and France.

FCCIB will provide various publications, including newsletters, members’ directory, and business guides offering a wealth of information to help promote the interests of the Franco-Bahraini business community and to provide extra visibility to our member companies.
