PM conferred honorary doctorate

Manama : The Al-Quds Open University (QOU) has conferred honorary doctorate on His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman in recognition of his humanitarian and development stances and in tribute for his advocacy of Arab and Islamic issues and unlimited support for the Palestinian people.

HRH Premier received the honorary doctorate from the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in the presence of the QOU Board of Trustees Chairman, Adnan Samarah.

HRH Premier expressed thanks and appreciation to the board of trustees and faculty of the Al-Quds Open University for conferring the honorary doctorate on him, lauding QOU’s high scientific and academic status in the Palestinian society, its mission and vision to achieve leadership, distinction and creativity in the field of open university education, as well as its keenness to serve society and scientific research.

HRH Premier reiterated Bahrain’s firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause and legitimate rights of the Palestinians to set up their independent state, and to live in peace and safety.HRH Premier stressed the importance of developing and coordinating Arab stances and consolidating joint Arab action to support the rights of the Palestinian people. Adnan Samarah lauded HRH Premier’s effort’s to enhance joint Arab action and support for the Palestinians, stressing that the Prime Minister played key role in promoting Bahrain as a development role model.
