Kuwait stops issuing family and visit visas

Family and visit visas for expats have been halted by Kuwait's interior ministry until further notice, according to local media.
According to sources cited by Al Rai, the ministry gave the Residency Affair Department in each of the six governorates pertinent orders to stop issuing family and visitor permits to expats.
Only medical professionals and Europeans who apply for visas online are not affected by this decision. However, those who have already received visas may enter the nation.
A new regulatory framework is reportedly being created while this suspension is in effect.
