Retired colonel sworn in as Mali interim president

Retired colonel Bah Ndaw was sworn in as Mali’s interim president yesterday, tasked with presiding over an 18-month transition back to civilian rule after a military coup. Ndaw, 70, took the oath of office in front of several hundred military officers, political leaders, and diplomats.
