App providing info on mosques launched

A smartphone application providing comprehensive information on mosques in Bahrain has been launched by Sunni Endowments. The smartphone application titled ‘Mosques of Bahrain’ provides a complete database for more than 680 websites affiliated to the Sunni Endowment, including mosques, Quran study, recitation and memorization centers, events halls and cemeteries.
Sunni Endowment Board Chairman Shaikh Salman bin Isa bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that the application represented an integrated reference for Sunni Endowment's facilities. “It is available on Google Store for smart and android phone devices. It provides search service for mosques’ locations and Quran memorization and recitation centers in the country using Google Maps in Arabic and English.”
He added that the application had been downloaded by more than 200 users. It provides services for the public and mosques' Imams and Muezzins for an easier communication between the two sides.
