Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline shut down as a precaution after multiple attacks in the Riyadh and Madinah regions.
An official source at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy said the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions was subjected to multiple attacks on Thursday morning, September 10, 2026.
The pipeline subsequently shut down as a precautionary measure; the attacks caused a number of injuries and medical care was provided to those affected.
Emergency and specialised technical teams
responded immediately, securing the pipeline and assessing its safety according to approved safety procedures and emergency response plans.
The ministry said the response was coordinated with relevant authorities, and further developments will be announced in due course.
