Bosaso: A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the Gulf of Aden, shaking the sea floor between Somalia and Yemen.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the deep-sea quake occurred at approximately 12:07 am local time on Friday, centered roughly 145 kilometres off the northern coast of Somalia. While another international monitoring agency registered the seismic activity at a higher magnitude of 6.2, initial reports indicate no immediate casualties or significant structural damage in surrounding coastal regions.
