Sharjah announces temporary traffic diversion on Mleiha Road

Sharjah: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) issued a temporary traffic diversion at the intersection of Mleiha Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road on Sunday, August 9, as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
The diversion will be in place from 6 a.m. until midnight to make way for construction activities at the intersection. The project aims to improve traffic flow and increase the efficiency of Sharjah's road network.
During the diversion, motorists in the impacted region should exercise caution, obey temporary traffic signs and directives, and take designated alternate routes. The SRTA has also released a traffic diversion map that depicts the construction zone and the recommended alternate route.
Authorities urged drivers to plan their trips ahead of time and facilitate extra travel time as the construction is underway. The temporary measures are part of wider infrastructure works aimed at promoting smoother traffic flow and improving road safety in the area.
