Travis Head wins second straight Allan Border Medal

Sydney: Australia's star batsman Travis Head has won the Allan Border Medal for the second year in a row, defeating teammate Alex Carey by one vote to secure Australian cricket's top individual award.
Head received 153 votes, Carey got 152, while fast bowler Mitchell Starc got 150. He becomes only the fifth Australian cricketer to receive the prestigious award in consecutive years.
The left-handed opener was rewarded for another magnificent season in all forms, including three centuries in the Ashes, as Australia maintained the urn. His Ashes performance included a scorching 123 off 83 balls in Perth.
The accolade caps a remarkable climb for Head, who has emerged as one of Australia's most significant batsmen in Test, One-Day International, and Twenty20 cricket.
