Bahrain Condemns Houthi Attack on Saudi Arabia, Urges Global Action

Manama: Bahrain has strongly condemned the Iran-backed Houthi attack on civilian facilities and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia's Najran region, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a violation of international law.
In a statement, Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the kingdom's full support for Saudi Arabia and backed all measures to protect its sovereignty, security, citizens and civilian infrastructure. It also wished those injured in the attack a speedy recovery.
Bahrain called on the international community to hold the Houthis accountable and cut off the group's sources of funding and weapons, saying such action is essential to protect civilians and maintain regional security and stability.
The ministry also praised Saudi Arabia's diplomatic, humanitarian and development efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemen conflict, in line with the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
