GCC Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Secretary-General Denounces Iran-Backed Militia Strikes as Threat to Regional Security
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi has strongly condemned the drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, which were launched by Iran-backed militias operating in Iraq.
Al Budaiwi described the attacks as a dangerous escalation, a blatant violation of international law, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.
He reaffirmed the GCC's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing the Council's unwavering support for all measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The Secretary-General also underscored the GCC's commitment to maintaining regional stability and condemned actions that threaten peace and security across the Gulf.
