Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi has strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as strikes on infrastructure and vital facilities that injured several Kuwaiti armed forces personnel.
Albudaiwi described the attacks as an unprecedented escalation and said they reflected a deliberate disregard for international law and established norms. He warned that the actions demonstrated an unacceptable willingness to push the region toward greater tension and instability.
He said attacks on critical infrastructure and vital facilities pose a threat not only to the countries directly affected but also to the security and stability of the wider region.
The GCC Secretary-General called on the international community to take effective measures to deter further attacks, hold those responsible accountable, protect regional peace and security, and prevent any further escalation.
Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC's full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, expressing support for all measures taken by the three countries to safeguard their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also wished the injured Kuwaiti armed forces personnel a speedy recovery.
