Qatar Suspends Maritime Activities as Precautionary Measure

Qatar's Ministry of Transport has temporarily suspended all maritime activities across the country as a precautionary measure, effective immediately and until further notice.
The ministry instructed all owners and users of marine vessels—including leisure boats, fishing boats, jet skis, and other recreational watercraft—to halt sailing and all maritime operations in the interest of public safety.
The suspension does not apply to vessels operating under international maritime conventions, which will continue their activities in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
The ministry urged the public to fully comply with the directive, adding that any updates will be announced through official channels in coordination with the relevant authorities.
According to the ministry, the temporary measure was introduced following coordination with the competent security authorities.
