Dubai Taxi Completes AED 1.45 Billion National Taxi Acquisition

Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC) has successfully completed the acquisition of 100 percent of National Taxi LLC, following approval from regulatory authorities including Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC).

The AED 1.45 billion transaction creates the largest taxi operator in the UAE, with a combined fleet of more than 9,500 vehicles operating across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The acquisition marks a major milestone in DTC’s five-year growth strategy, strengthening its leadership position in Dubai while expanding its presence in Abu Dhabi’s transport sector.

Following the deal, DTC will hold an estimated 59 percent share of Dubai’s taxi market and establish an approximately 12 percent market share in Abu Dhabi.

DTC said the acquisition is expected to contribute positively to earnings from the first full year of ownership, supported by operational synergies and increased scale.

Commenting on the completion of the deal, DTC Group CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi said the acquisition represents the company’s first transformational deal since its initial public offering and a significant step in its long-term expansion plans.

He said National Taxi will strengthen DTC’s position in Dubai, create a stronger presence in Abu Dhabi, and establish a leading multi-emirate mobility platform.

The company will now focus on integrating National Taxi into the DTC Group while delivering strategic and financial benefits for shareholders.

National Taxi reported revenues of AED 774 million and EBITDA of AED 183 million for the year ending July 2025, with a fleet exceeding 2,700 vehicles.
