Abu Dhabi: The Indian mission in the UAE launched a new virtual appointment site for passport, visa, attestation, and other consular services, making advance booking necessary for the majority of applicants as authorities attempt to simplify services during the ongoing transition to a new outsourced provider.

Before visiting the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General of India in Dubai, candidates should complete their online application forms, upload all relevant documents, and schedule an appointment. Those with confirmed appointments will be able to enter 15 minutes before their allocated time.

Limited walk-in services will be available daily from 9am to 11am, with priority given to newborn passport cases and Emergency Certificates. Authorities also requested applicants to carry fully completed forms, supporting documents and the exact cash amount for fees, as only cash payments are currently being accepted. The current support channels and helpline are still in place.

With the intention of cutting down on lengthy lines and enhancing service delivery for the Indian community in the United Arab Emirates, the new method was implemented in response to disruptions brought on by the switch to a new consular service provider.
