CENTCOM Chief Meets Leaders in Israel and Lebanon

During an ongoing visit to the Middle East, Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), met senior civilian and military leaders in both Israel and Lebanon, focusing on regional security coordination and ongoing military commitments.
In Lebanon, Cooper and his delegation held talks with President Joseph Aoun and Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Rodolphe Haykal. The discussions centered on implementing a recently signed framework agreement in Washington, D.C., aimed at strengthening cooperation and supporting stability efforts in the region.
The meetings come amid continued international attention on security arrangements and long-term strategic coordination involving Lebanon and its partners.
In Israel, the CENTCOM commander also visited deployed U.S. forces, where he recognized service members for outstanding operational performance and mission contributions. The visit underscored the continued U.S. military presence and engagement in the region.
According to CENTCOM, more than 50,000 American service members are currently deployed across the Middle East, maintaining operational readiness and vigilance amid evolving regional security dynamics.
