Kyiv: A massive Ukrainian drone attack targeted Russia's southern Krasnodar region, killing one person, wounding another, and setting fire to a major oil refinery, according to Russian police. The hit also caused damage to residences, a power line, and a gas pipeline after drone debris dropped in the neighbourhood.
The refinery at Slavyansk-na-Kubani, one of southern Russia's key fuel-processing complexes, caught fire before emergency crews extinguished it. Russia's Defence Ministry said to have captured over 200 Ukrainian drones overnight across numerous locations, including Moscow.
Ukraine later stated that it targeted oil refineries in the Krasnodar and Yaroslavl regions as part of its campaign to undermine Russia's fuel supplies and military logistics. The latest attack comes as Kyiv ramps up long-range drone strikes against Russia's energy infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict.
