Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron completed the three-day G7 summit on Wednesday with discussions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and global security challenges, before inviting US President Donald Trump for a dinner at the Palace of Versailles.

Macron stated that leaders were looking into steps to improve cyber security while also protecting children and democratic institutions as artificial intelligence quickly affects businesses and societies. The summit brought together G7 leaders and executives from prominent AI corporations to discuss governance and regulation of emerging technologies.

The meeting was also dominated by geopolitical topics, such as the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Following recent diplomatic incidents involving Washington and Tehran, the G7 nations sought common ground on support for Ukraine and Iran.

Trump remained a key presence throughout the summit, with European leaders paying close attention to the United States' positions on trade, security, and foreign crises. Following his early departure from last year's G7 conference, French authorities regarded his participation through the summit as a diplomatic victory.

The summit ended with Macron's unusual invitation to Trump to attend a dinner at the ancient Palace of Versailles, highlighting the French leader's efforts to maintain contact despite policy differences between Paris and Washington.
