New cadet officers join Kuwait National Guard ranks

A graduation ceremony was held for a new batch of National Guard officers in Kuwait, marking the entry of trained cadets into military service after completing specialised academic and field programmes.

The event took take place under the patronage of Sheikh Mubarak Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of the National Guard, and was attended by Major General Hamad Salem Al-Burjis, the National Guard Undersecretary, along with senior officials.

The ceremony honoured graduates from Field Officer Cadet Courses for university degree holders, as well as Medical Officer Cadets and Auxiliary Medical Officer Cadets.

He stressed that national service requires commitment and loyalty, adding that safeguarding Kuwait’s security and stability remains a core responsibility of its armed institutions. “The homeland is a trust,” he said, urging the graduates to remain steadfast in defending the country against any threats.

The commander of the National Guard Forces Training Institute, Brigadier General Khalid Hassan Mohammed, said the training programmes were aligned with the National Guard’s Strategic Plan 2030, titled “Protecting the Homeland.” He noted that the initiative aims to strengthen training systems and enhance the qualifications of personnel using modern military methods.

The ceremony concluded with the recitation of the oath by the new officers, who pledged to defend the country, uphold its stability, and protect its achievements. Top-performing graduates were also honoured at the event.
