UAE calls for ‘unified Gulf stance’ after Iran attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain

Anwar Gargash, adviser to the United Arab Emirates president, says repeated Iranian “aggression” against Kuwait and Bahrain requires a firm, unified Gulf stance.

“No Gulf state should be left to face these attacks alone,” Gargash wrote on X.

“The security of the Gulf Cooperation Council states is interconnected, their interests are shared, and their destiny is one. This aggression does not target one country in particular, but rather targets us all.”

He made the comments after Iran launched what it called retaliatory strikes that damaged Kuwait’s main international airport terminal, wounding an unspecified number of people and forcing the suspension of flights.
