Kuwait Intercepts 13 Missiles, 17 Drones in Iranian Attack

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces have intercepted 13 hostile ballistic missiles and 17 drones that entered Kuwaiti airspace since dawn on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Defense.

In a statement issued by the ministry's official spokesperson, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, the ballistic missiles were intercepted over several residential areas, resulting in the fall of debris in some locations.

The ministry said the Iranian attack targeted civilian and vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport. The assault led to the death of an Indian expatriate, injured several others, and caused significant material damage.

The Armed Forces expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

Authorities urged citizens and residents to avoid approaching, photographing, or sharing images and videos of impacted sites, missile debris, or interception remnants on social media, citing public safety and security concerns.

The ministry also called on the public to follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities and rely on official sources for information.

The Armed Forces affirmed that they remain on full operational readiness and are coordinating with relevant authorities to take all necessary measures to safeguard the country's security and the safety of citizens and residents.
