Qatar Sends Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal
Aid shipment to support around 52,000 people
A Qatari Armed Forces aircraft has arrived in Nepal carrying urgent humanitarian supplies for communities affected by recent floods, as part of Qatar’s efforts to support disaster relief operations.
The aid, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, includes water extraction and pumping equipment, lighting supplies, food items and multi-purpose tents. The assistance is expected to benefit around 52,000 people, particularly families and children facing difficulties accessing clean water and essential services.
The Qatari International Search and Rescue Group, affiliated with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), is also taking part in delivering the assistance to affected areas and supporting humanitarian operations on the ground.
Qatar said the response reflects its continued commitment to supporting countries affected by natural disasters and strengthening international humanitarian cooperation.
The country also reaffirmed its support for international relief efforts aimed at helping affected communities recover and build greater resilience following crises and disasters.
