UAE Intercepts Drone Over Territorial Waters, Rejects Iranian Strike Claims

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has intercepted an incoming drone approaching from Iran over its territorial waters, firmly rejecting claims by Iranian state media that Al Minhad Air Base was hit by a missile strike.
Emirati air defence forces detected and responded to the unmanned aerial vehicle as it entered UAE airspace. Rebutting assertions broadcast by Tehran, the Ministry of Defence dismissed reports of a successful missile attack on the military facility as completely false, confirming that the nation's air defence systems remain on 24-hour alert to safeguard territorial integrity.
The military response follows statements from Tehran claiming Iranian forces launched a drone strike against American troops stationed at the air base in retaliation for recent casualties on Larak Island. Emirati defence officials reiterated that national armed forces maintain total readiness to respond to any incoming threats and defend the sovereignty, security, and stability of the Emirates.
