Kathmandu: The United States, Canada, and the European Union have pledged further humanitarian assistance for Nepal, as devastating floods near the Nepal-China border continue to take lives and leave thousands missing.
The United States has pledged more than $3.6 million in humanitarian help, including up to three months of emergency food assistance for up to 10,000 affected households.
Canada has donated CAN$5 million to fund emergency relief efforts, while the European Union has set aside €2 million for food, healthcare, safe water, sanitation, and housing.
The global support comes as Nepal is struggling with a severe humanitarian crisis as a result of deadly flash floods along the Himalayan border.
