Russian strike kills two in Ukraine's Dnipro: regional authorities

Moscow: A Russian missile strike on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro has killed two people and wounded six others, according to local regional authorities. Dnipro Regional Governor Serhiy Lysak announced that the afternoon attack struck a civilian infrastructure facility, causing significant structural damage and igniting a large localized fire.
The casualties occurred when the missile impacted the targeted area, with emergency services arriving shortly after to extract survivors from the debris. Among the six injured victims, three are currently hospitalized in moderate condition, while the others received immediate medical treatment at the scene.
Rescue teams and municipal workers remain active at the site to extinguish the remaining flames and clear the heavy wreckage. Local law enforcement officials have launched a formal investigation into the incident, documenting the physical destruction as part of ongoing war crimes proceedings.
