Hajj mission has begun distributing Nusuk cards to pilgrims through licensed Hajj campaigns, in coordination with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as part of efforts to streamline procedures before departure to the holy sites.
According to Dr. Mohammed Taher Al Qattan, deputy head of Bahrain’s Hajj mission, the Nusuk card serves as the primary identification document for pilgrims throughout the Hajj season and is a mandatory requirement for entry into the holy sites and the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
He said the card enables pilgrims to access authorised services with ease, urging them to carry it at all times, keep it safe, and use its digital version when necessary.
Distribution of the cards began on Tuesday and will continue until Thursday, May 7, covering all 23 licensed Hajj campaigns and serving a total of 4,625 Bahraini pilgrims.
