Trump warns Iran to get its 'better get smart soon'

Washington DC: In a characteristic shift in diplomatic tone, Donald Trump has issued a blunt warning to Tehran, stating that Iran ‘better get smart soon’ and accept a revised nuclear agreement.

Speaking during a recent campaign event, the former president criticized the existing framework and emphasized that his administration would demand significantly stricter terms to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities.

Trump’s rhetoric suggests a return to a ‘maximum pressure’ strategy, aimed at forcing the Iranian leadership back to the negotiating table under more rigorous US-led conditions.

The warning comes amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East and stalled international efforts to revive previous diplomatic accords. Trump argued that the current path taken by the Iranian government would lead to economic ‘ruin,’ whereas a new deal would offer a path toward stability.

Tehran has yet to officially respond to these specific remarks, but the statement has already sparked debate among global leaders regarding the future of non-proliferation efforts and the potential for increased volatility in global energy markets should sanctions intensify.
