Saudi Date Exports Hit SAR 1.9 Billion in 2025
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recorded strong growth in its date exports in 2025, with total value reaching SAR 1.938 billion, marking a 14.3% increase compared to 2024 and a 59.5% rise since 2021, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The increase reflects growing global demand for Saudi dates, alongside improvements in production efficiency. The sector continues to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly efforts to diversify the national economy and boost the contribution of agriculture to GDP.
Abdulrahman Alfadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the National Center for Palms and Dates, attributed the growth to strong leadership support and effective collaboration between the public and private sectors. He noted that initiatives aimed at empowering Saudi date exports have helped expand access to international markets.
Saudi Arabia exports a wide variety of dates to more than 125 countries, maintaining competitive quality standards. In 2025, production exceeded 1.9 million tonnes, supported by more than 37 million palm trees across the Kingdom.
