The Saudi Ministry of Energy has announced the successful restoration of full pumping capacity through the East-West oil pipeline, reaching approximately 7 million barrels per day, following recent disruptions.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry confirmed that affected production levels at the Manifa oil field—estimated at around 300,000 barrels per day—have also been fully recovered within a short period.
However, work is still ongoing to restore full production capacity at the Khurais oil field. Authorities stated that an official update will be provided once recovery efforts are complete.
The ministry highlighted that the rapid recovery reflects the high operational resilience and crisis management efficiency of Saudi Aramco and the Kingdom’s energy sector. This resilience helps ensure reliable and continuous energy supplies to both domestic and global markets, supporting overall global economic stability.
On April 9, 2026, the ministry had reported that parts of the Kingdom’s energy infrastructure were impacted by attacks, resulting in a temporary loss of approximately 700,000 barrels per day in pipeline capacity. Production at the Manifa oil field dropped by around 300,000 barrels per day, while the Khurais field also experienced a similar decline.
