Trump issues warning to Iran as deadline set for talks

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued strong remarks during a press conference, claiming unprecedented levels of military activity and setting out a tight diplomatic timeline for discussions involving Iran.

Describing recent military operations, the President said the scale of air activity was “unparalleled in the history of military air operations,” adding that over recent weeks, U.S. forces had conducted extensive combat flights and strikes on multiple targets.

He also referenced what he described as communications from within Iran, suggesting that some civilians were expressing a desire for freedom despite ongoing conflict conditions.

In remarks addressing a reported operation involving two American airmen, Trump said the United States had demonstrated significant military capability, warning that critical Iranian infrastructure could be severely damaged if conflict escalated further.

“We are dealing with them,” he said, adding that discussions were ongoing but giving a deadline of 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time the following day for progress in negotiations. He warned that failure to reach an agreement could result in severe consequences for key infrastructure, including transport and energy facilities.

Trump also commented on maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that any agreement would need to ensure the free flow of oil and shipping through the strategic waterway.

He further claimed that U.S. military operations over the past 37 days included more than 10,000 combat flights and strikes on over 13,000 targets, describing the campaign as sustained and highly active.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions and ongoing diplomatic uncertainty between Washington and Tehran.
