Israel Signals Major Escalation in Strikes Against Iran

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has announced a significant escalation in military strikes against Iran in the coming days, marking a sharp rise in regional tensions.

Speaking during a high-level security assessment with military officials, Katz stated that the intensity and frequency of strikes carried out by both Israel Defense Forces and the United States Armed Forces are expected to increase substantially throughout the week. The operations are aimed at targeting the Iranian regime and key infrastructure linked to its defence capabilities.

Katz emphasized that Israel is determined to lead the offensive against Iran, with a clear objective of weakening its strategic strength and neutralizing any threats posed to Israeli national security and U.S. interests in the region. “We will not stop until all war objectives are achieved,” he affirmed, highlighting the military’s readiness and resilience on both the frontlines and the home front.

Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesperson Effie Defrin revealed in an interview with CNN that thousands of potential targets have already been identified. He noted that coordinated operational plans with U.S. allies are expected to extend for at least three weeks, coinciding with the period leading up to Passover, with additional strategies prepared for further escalation beyond that timeframe.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, the current phase of the campaign is focused on systematically dismantling Iran’s defence industry. This includes efforts to disrupt ballistic missile production, disable air defence systems, target naval assets, and break down critical supply chains supporting military operations.

The developments signal a potentially prolonged period of conflict, as military activities intensify and geopolitical tensions in the region continue to rise.
