Kuwait National Guard Neutralizes Drone Warhead in Fuel Tank
The Kuwait National Guard announced that its Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit successfully recovered and destroyed parts of a drone warhead after it fell into a fuel tank.
Brigadier General Dr. Jad’an Fadhel Jad’an, the official spokesperson for the National Guard, said the engineering battalion’s EOD team responded immediately upon receiving the report. A technical inspection revealed that the warhead had not detonated, presenting a complex challenge due to the presence of flammable fuel and chemical vapors at the site.
The disposal operation lasted seven consecutive days, during which the fuel tank was completely emptied and strict safety measures were implemented to protect the team.
The National Guard highlighted that the operation reflects the high readiness and expertise of the engineering battalion in handling dangerous and complex incidents. The mission was carried out in coordination with other military and security agencies in Kuwait, contributing to the protection of lives and property and ensuring public safety.
