CBSE Postpones Class 10, 12 Board Exams in Middle East Amid Regional Tensions

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class X and Class XII board examinations scheduled for March 5 and 6, 2026, in several Middle Eastern countries following a review of the prevailing regional situation.
In a circular issued on March 3, the board announced that exams in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will be deferred. The revised dates will be announced later.
The board said the decision was taken after assessing the current conditions in the region. It also stated that the situation will be reviewed again on March 5, with further decisions to be made regarding examinations scheduled from March 7 onwards.
Students have been advised to remain in contact with their respective schools and monitor official announcements for updates.
