US Destroyed Nine Iranian Ships, Says Trump

Washington D.C.: US President Donald Trump said he had been informed that American forces had destroyed and sunk nine Iranian naval ships, describing some of the vessels as “relatively large and important.”
In a statement posted on social media, Trump said the United States was “going after the rest,” adding that additional vessels would “soon be floating at the bottom of the sea.”
He also claimed that Iranian naval headquarters had been largely destroyed in a separate attack.
The remarks signal a sharp escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran. There was no immediate official confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding the claims.
