UAE Urges Private Sector to Adopt Remote Work Amid Security Situation

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has advised private-sector companies in the United Arab Emirates to implement remote working arrangements and avoid the presence of employees in exposed areas.
In a statement shared by the ministry, employers were urged to apply work-from-home measures where possible for a period of three days, from Sunday, March 1 until Tuesday, March 3.
The ministry said the guidance excludes vital and essential jobs that require physical attendance at workplaces.
It also clarified that any decision to suspend work at specific locations will be taken by the relevant local authorities, in line with developments and their respective mandates.
Private-sector employers were further advised to follow official channels for updates and instructions during the period.
