CBSE Postpones Class 10 and 12 Exams in Middle East Amid Regional Tensions

email: mail@newsofbahrain.com New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle East countries due to the prevailing situation in the region. In a circular issued on Saturday, the board informed principals of CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates that the examinations for Monday, March 2, stand deferred. Revised dates will be announced later. CBSE said it will review the situation on March 3 and take appropriate decisions regarding examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards. Students have been advised to remain in contact with their respective schools and follow official announcements carefully. The circular was issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, and shared with Indian diplomatic missions in the affected countries for necessary action. The decision comes amid escalating security concerns in parts of the Gulf region.
