US Warns Iran: Lay Down Arms or Face ‘Certain Death’

The United States has launched large-scale military operations against Iran, targeting the Iranian regime in a bid to neutralize threats to American citizens, troops, and allies worldwide. The announcement was made today by US President Donald Trump.

President Trump described the attacks as a decisive effort to eliminate the Iranian Islamic regime, which he called “a vicious group of very hard, terrible people” responsible for decades of attacks against the United States and its allies.

“The United States military began major combat operations in Iran to defend our people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,” Trump said. “For 47 years, this regime has chanted ‘death to America’ and waged an unending campaign of bloodshed across the world.”

Trump cited historical attacks linked to Iran, including the 1979 U.S. embassy takeover, the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut, and the October 7 attacks by Hamas in Israel, which killed more than 1,000 people, including 46 Americans.

He warned that the Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions are a primary concern. “They will never have a nuclear weapon,” Trump emphasized. The President highlighted Operation Midnight Hammer last June, which targeted Iran’s nuclear program, and said the military would continue efforts to destroy missile capabilities and prevent nuclear proliferation.

Trump also issued a direct message to Iranian forces and citizens: “To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, armed forces, and police, lay down your weapons and receive immunity—or face certain death. To the people of Iran, the hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered and take control of your government once the strikes are over.”

The President underscored the risks to U.S. personnel but described the mission as necessary for the future security of Americans and their allies. “We pray for every service member risking their lives. With God’s help, the men and women of our armed forces will prevail,” he said.

Trump concluded with a call for action and support for the Iranian people: “America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny.”
