Some Personnel Advised to Leave Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar
Some personnel were advised to leave the U.S. military’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar by Wednesday evening, according to three diplomats speaking to Reuters.
The U.S. embassy in Doha did not issue an immediate comment on the matter.
Al Udeid Air Base is the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East and hosts around 10,000 troops. Earlier, ahead of U.S. air strikes on Iran in June, some personnel were also moved from U.S. bases across the region.
