Trump mocks Greenland
Washington: The White House’s Instagram shared a doctored image of Trump looking at a map of Greenland, captioned ‘Monitoring the situation,’ hours after he claimed the US would take control of the territory ‘one way or another.’ He said a deal would be easier than military action, warning that Russia or China might move in otherwise.
Aboard Air Force One, Trump insisted Greenland’s control was inevitable, even if it strained NATO ties, citing alleged Russian and Chinese naval activity, claims denied by Denmark. China responded, urging the US not to use other countries to advance its interests and stressing its Arctic activities aim for stability and development.
