Cloudflare Outage Causes Global Internet Disruption
Manama: A sudden breakdown at web infrastructure giant Cloudflare has caused widespread disruption to online services worldwide, including Talabat and BenefitPay. The outage, which occurred on Friday, has affected millions of users globally, with many websites and apps experiencing errors or becoming unreachable.
Cloudflare's status page initially reported "scheduled maintenance is currently in progress." The outage has highlighted the vulnerability of the internet's infrastructure and the reliance on a small number of core providers.
Cloudflare shields websites from hackers, filters out fake traffic and speeds up page loading. Since millions of websites worldwide rely on its services, the outage can cause ripple across a huge chunk of the internet.
