Season Two of ‘Oasis of Life’ Explores Hidden Gems of Al Ain

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism has launched the second season of its “Al Ain: Oasis of Life” campaign under the “Experience Abu Dhabi” tourism brand, showcasing the authentic heritage, family adventures, and natural beauty of the historic city.

The new season follows Emirati photographer and explorer Obaid Al Budoor and engineer and poet Salem Al Attas as they continue their immersive journey through “Dar Al Zain,” highlighting the perfect harmony between culture, adventure, relaxation, and family experiences in Al Ain.

Across four short films, the duo ventures beyond Al Ain’s iconic landmarks to explore unique activities and hidden treasures. Their adventures include climbing palm trees in the lush oases, racing across golden sand dunes, enjoying sound healing sessions, and sampling dishes prepared with fresh local produce. They also take on friendly competitions such as kayaking at the base of Jebel Hafeet, soaring with Emirates Falcon Aviation tours, sandboarding, and ending the day with stargazing at the eco-friendly Pura Eco Retreat.

Along their journey, Al Budoor and Al Attas share traditional meals and evening gatherings with Al Ain’s residents, shedding light on the city’s warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit.

Reflecting on the experience, Al Budoor said: “Every time I return to Al Ain, it feels like coming home. There is a unique magic in its nature and people that encourages you to slow down, reflect, and treasure the small moments that stay with you long after you leave.”

Meanwhile, Al Attas added: “I was amazed by how many new experiences we discovered in Al Ain. One day we were laughing while sliding down sand dunes, and the next we were quietly sharing coffee with locals. It reminded me that adventure is not just about adrenaline, but about connection above all else.”

The campaign invites families and friends to visit Al Ain, a destination where every moment transforms into a living memory.
