Dubai to Host Expanded ‘1 Billion Followers Summit’

Dubai will host the 1 Billion Followers Summit in January 2026, with organizers unveiling plans for a larger, more dynamic event than ever before. The summit will bring together influencers, digital entrepreneurs, and media leaders from around the world to explore the future of the creator economy.

A highlight of this year’s summit is the launch of an AI Movie Contest offering a record $1 million prize. The contest aims to showcase how artificial intelligence is changing storytelling, giving creators a unique platform to experiment with technology and art.

At a press conference, Saeed Mohammed Al Eter, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, and Alia Al Hammadi, Deputy Chairperson of the UAE Government Media Office and Director of the summit, emphasized that the event will strengthen Dubai’s role as a global hub for creators.

The 2026 edition will include a wider range of workshops, networking sessions, and interactive events. The focus will be on innovation, monetization, and sustainability, providing creators with tools and partnerships to grow in the rapidly evolving digital world.
