Iranian President Arrives in Lahore to Strengthen Ties with Pakistan

Lahore warmly welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as he arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, leading a high-level delegation. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif greeted him alongside senior Pakistani officials and Iran’s Consul General in Lahore, Mehran Movahedfar.
During his visit, President Pezeshkian will meet with the Punjab chief minister before paying tribute at the tomb of Pakistan’s national poet, Muhammad Iqbal. He will then travel to Islamabad for further meetings with top Pakistani leaders.
The two-day visit will include the signing of several cooperation agreements, reflecting the growing partnership between Iran and Pakistan. This marks the fifth official engagement between the two countries’ leaders in the past year, underlining their efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.
