Waiter molests co-worker in shopping mall
A case has been filed against a Nepal waiter who has been accused of allegedly molesting his co-worker.
The co-worker, also from Nepal, was having her lunch in a shopping mall in Dubai when the incident took place.
On June 21, AK, 29, went to the store-room of a restaurant to have her launch.
"While I was having my food NK got in the store area. I asked him what was he doing there, he responded saying he was looking for me. I asked him to go out but instead he got in and closed the door, making it impossible for me to open the door, as the lock was broken.
"As he came close to me, I could smell alcohol on him. He pushed me to the wall and sexually molested me. I shouted and screamed and rushed to the door and knocked it, until I was heard by the manager of a neighbouring restaurant," said the victim.
As the manager opened the door, the accused whispered to the victim asking her to stay quiet about the incident.
The victim told her rescuer what had transpired and a complaint was lodged with the police.
The manager repeated and corroborated her testimony.
The court will reconvene on January 3.
