Uncrustables Promise Awaits Artemis II Crew After Historic Mission
The crew of Artemis II is set to receive a unique reward upon their return to Earth, as they have been promised a lifetime supply of the popular snack Uncrustables following their splashdown.
Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen completed a 10-day journey aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft, traveling farther from Earth than any humans in over five decades during their mission around the Moon.
While NASA had carefully prepared an extensive menu of nearly 200 food items for the mission, including a variety of meals and snacks adapted for space conditions, the crew reportedly had one special request waiting for them back on Earth — the peanut butter and jelly treat.
The U.S. Navy confirmed that recovery teams would have an “abundant amount” of the sandwiches ready when the astronauts landed. Adding to the moment, The J.M. Smucker Company, the maker of Uncrustables, announced it would provide the crew with a lifetime supply of the snack.
The gesture quickly gained attention online, becoming a lighthearted highlight as the astronauts concluded their historic mission.
